People often ask “Why do some hire professionals to organize their home? Can’t they just do it themselves?” Unfortunately, the simple answer is no, they can’t.

Here's why.

Staying organized can be equated to mowing your lawn. Those that don't do it will often say that they don’t have the time, don’t like yard work or don’t want to do it themselves so they hire someone to do it for them.

Often times, those that are disorganized are those who are very well educated and tend to think that the task of organizing is boring. They simply can’t stay focused long enough to get anything accomplished.

A lot of people think that being organized is too time consuming. They don’t understand that once organized, they'll save a lot of time because they will be merely putting things into designated spaces.

Such is the world of a professional organizer, who do more than just de-clutter and organize spaces. They educate the client (and the entire family) on the why's, who's and when's to organize, all of which save time and money. Being organized, most find, is a crucial lesson that will stay with them and something they will use in all aspects of their life.

Being organized isn’t only about space management and clutter control. It’s about management — the management of time, paper, projects and life.

According to National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) "many people could use the help of a professional organizer because many organizational skills involve learning behaviors some people were never taught."

Due largely in part to consumers having more physical space, more stuff to put in those spaces and less time than ever before, the need for a professional organizer is greater than ever
