Craig's List Missed Connections: People Finding Other Random People
This year has been a mighty big one of change in my life. The biggest change being that I went from being in a year long committed relationship to being newly single as of just two weeks ago.
For the first time in my life I feel a sense of freedom in being on my own. I've been devoting all of this newly-extracted time that would have otherwise been devoted to my significant other, to my own personal and professional development.
Being that I am what most would call a workaholic, today I was faced with the first free time I've had in three weeks!... What's a girl to do? For those of you who don't know about Craig's list, it is a free forum where you can go to find anything from fishnet stockings to fireplaces, so I decided to peruse the site and see what else there was to be had. That's when I came across this:

It seems like there's this whole world out there that I've been oblivious to! I'm one of the biggest flirts ever (which I admit sometimes puts me in awkward situations), but I never ever would have thought to send a message to the universe saying "to the guy who I passed just today who gave me the biggest most warmest smile at the corner of Kingston and Main, email me if you would like a drink".
Considering I'm not ready to date again (nor do I envisioning myself being ready for quite some time), I must say I'd rather scroll through the "Missed Connections" section of Craig's list than play solitaire during my next new 20-minute wind-down pastime.
