Men’s Health magazine has annointed Austin the horniest major city in the country.

To come up with its ranking of Austin as “America’s Most Sex-Happy City,” the magazine measured condom sales, birth rates, sex toy sales and STD rates.

Austin tops the magazine’s list of cities for condom sales. The capital of Texas—and of copulation, if Men’s Health is to be believed—ranks 15th for birth rates and 23rd for STD rates.

Dallas, just up Interstate 35 from Austin, takes the No. 2 spot (or should that be G spot?) on the list of the country’s most amorous places, followed by Columbus, Ohio; Durham, N.C.; and Denver.

“We do note that a lot of the cities on the list are college towns,” the Austin American-Statesman observed. “Maybe there’s a correlation? Go figure. Either way, the heat is on in Texas … but you already knew that.”

At the bottom of the Men’s Health list: Portland, Maine. It’s preceded by Burlington, Vt.; Yonkers, N.Y.; Charleston, W.Va.; and Manchester, N.H.
