The Men of American Idol Performed Last Night...Sigh

So....it was the gents turn to take the stage last night. The top 10 men of American Idol all had their chance to redeem themselves from last weeks debacle. I so wish I could say that they did. I so wish I could. But honestly, only a few are standing out and stepping up.

I have to give a big shout out for Lee Dewyze. I didn't see much of anything in him up until last night. He came out with a husky, soulful tone that makes you want to listen. He covered "Lips of an Angel." As Kara said, "I can hear you on the radio," and I agree completely. It's great to get something unexpected and Lee was just that.

Alex Lambert stepped it up! He was a little more relaxed, he actually smiled and showed a little confidence and he has a good voice. He may be one to watch, which is another nice surprise.

Mike Lynche still wins the confidence and stage presence award. That alone keeps him in the running. And, it doesn't hurt that he has some decent vocal chops.

Here are my Boos and Hisses of the night:

Tim Urban...what can I say, yes he was much better then last week. He still stunk for my money. He has a weak voice, and he is getting by on the cute factor. He can still step it up and if he can get his voice to match his looks (long, long shot) he may have a chance.

Jermaine and Todrick....just don't seem to belong in the cream of the crop. Both were disappointing all around.

And last but not least....Andrew Andrew Andrew....I had such high hopes and you blew it, again. GET IT TOGETHER. I know you have it in you, but if you don't let it out soon, you'll never get the chance to.

As for the rest...not even worth reviewing. They need to step it up or this season is going to be dominated by the girls!

On to the ladies tonight!
