HBO's True Blood Season 3 Premiere Set - Are You Ready?
Sookie and the True Blood gang are set to return for more blood letting and unbridled lust beginning Sunday, June 13 at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on HBO. For all the details and to watch previous episodes go here.
As a fan of the show and the vampire genre, I have patiently waited for the show's return since the final episode late last summer. In the off season, the show has been gaining a lot of momentum and the rabid fans, like myself, must content ourselves with the occasional leaks of news and casting info to satiate our thirst. I will be writing an ongoing series of articles which will include character analysis, season synopsis, episode summaries, storyline speculation and comparisons between the book and the TV series.
If you aren't following the show now, but want to jump in with both feet, this is a great way to catch up and get yourself ready. Or, if you are already a "fangbanger" as they say, this is a great primer for the premiere. I encourage you to join in!

True Blood show creator Alan Ball took the Harris characters and developed a world where supernatural creatures are as much a part of the atmosphere as the swampy bayous of Louisiana. The process of accepting vampires began when Japanese scientists were able to produce synthetic blood, aka TruBlood. With the development of this fake blood, this allowed the vampires of the world to "come out of the coffin" as it were.
