Zak BagansTravel Channel's Ghost Adventures, after a fall hiatus, returns this evening with a live Halloween eve lock-down event from 8pm - 3am E/P.

Zak, Nick, and Aaron, the Las Vegas-based paranormal investigative team, are conducting an audacious experiment live tonight from the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, in Weston, WV.

As anyone who watches this genre of shows knows, it's all in the editing as the actual paranormal moments are few and far between. An extended live event will present daunting challenges in maintaining viewer attention. It will be interesting to see how the team fills in the uneventful stretches where nothing "dark-sided" happens.

Fortunately, Zak and the boys seem to have anticipated this challenge and have come up with novel ways of keeping viewers involved and interested during the 7-hour event. More on tonight's broadcast:

To aid in their investigation, Ghost Adventures will interview local witnesses, call on paranormal guest experts and utilize the latest in detection technology. Specialized teams will also be available on-site to research and review evidence as it's collected.

This event will be completely interactive. While watching the drama unfold on TV, viewers will have complete access to the investigation online through the webcams, live video chat and text messaging.

There's something for everyone, and you won't want to miss one minute of this 7-hour LIVE event.

Viewers are encouraged to log in and interact with the team, which includes a live chat, live webcam, live video stream and interactive map. Click here for more info.

So, gird your loins, prepare for multiple bleeps, an endless stream of DUDES and likely some bone-chilling, blood curdling moments as Zak and the boys encounter the "trans-normal."
