lil wayneRapper Dwayne Carter, also know as Lil Wayne, has once again avoided his sentencing date, which was scheduled for March 2, 2010, due to a courthouse fire. The fire at a Lower Manhattan courthouse is reported to have started in a wooden contractor's shed in the basement of the building.

Over a thousand people fled the building as the smoke from the fire clouded the building in an unbreathable and eye-scorching haze. Eight people suffered injuries, including five firefighters. For over an hour, the crews worked to keep the fire under control.

Lil' Wayne was charged with having a loaded gun on his tour bus in 2007, and in October of 2009. he pleaded guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon.

Initially he was scheduled to be sentenced in February of this year, but that was postponed due to dental surgery. It is unclear at this time when his new sentencing date will be scheduled, but in the meantime Lil Wayne has been busy shooting music videos, recording songs, and saying his goodbyes to friends and fans.
