Steven TylerSteven Tyler, frontman for the mega rock group Aerosmith has grappled with ten years of performance injuries. His latest was just this past August while performing in South Dakota when a fall from the stage broke his left shoulder. As a result of his numerous injuries and subsequent pain, he has developed an addiction to prescription painkillers. Tyler's decision to enter rehab focused on pain management, as well as addressing his addiction.

Tyler is now 61-years old and suffers severe chronic pain from all of the orthopedic injuries he has suffered while performing. He still requires surgeries to his hands and feet according to his orthopedist Dr. Brian McKeon. To his credit, Tyler has utilized alternative therapies, custom shoes and has worked with his medical team to find a balance between pain control and addiction. However, that kind of balance with chronic severe pain is tenuous at best.

Steven's family, bandmates and legions of Aerosmith fans are supportive of his decision to enter rehab. His fans eagerly await his return to the thing he loves and is loved for, performing with Aerosmith.
