Nintendo Raises The Bar With 3DS

Los Angeles is the place to be for gamers. The E3 conference is in full swing and Nintendo just announce the first portable gaming system capable of displaying content in the third dimension.
Keeping a similar form factor to the current DS line, Nintendo has added 3D capability to its top 3.5 inch screen which will enable users to see the action in 3D, and most importantly, it is glasses free.
Another huge addition is the fact that the 3DS is also capable of taking pictures in 3D using the dual lens camera on the lid of the console.
Slight tweaks have been made to the controls with a much appreciated analogue stick being added above the D-pad.
Games that will utilize the 3D capability have been announced and will include titles such as Madden, Ninja Gaiden, Resident Evil, Batman, Splinter Cell, and a Metal Gear Solid entry.
No release dates or prices have yet been announced, but hopefully we will be seeing the console drop before the holiday season.
