Madden 2011 Closest to Console Gameplay Yet
For Madden football fans, every iteration of the game that's release is like Christmas. Excitement builds and the gamers lace up the cleats and prepare for battle.
For iPad gaming, the experience with sports offerings hasn't been quite up to par with their cousins on the console side.
With Madden 2011, console lovers are inching closer and closer to that one to one experience.
From a game-play perspective, you get all the bells and whistles. The selection of plays are great, changing routes on the fly and calling audibles. The experience is same on the defensive side of the ball.
The graphics and sound effects are great on the iPad. They aren't close to what the game looks like on a console, but they are pretty impressive for the mobile gaming market.
When it comes to maneuvering the players, the experience is still a little clunky. There is no replacement for the joystick. The virtual handle is awkward. I miss the various joystick combination's that allow to me to juke, dive, stiff arm, etc.
I've only had about 10 hours of playing time with the game and the experience improves with each time.
If you're a Madden gamer and an iPad owner, you won't be disappointed with this $12.99 offering.
What do you think of Madden 2011 for the iPad?
