Miley Cyrus Raps On YouTube About Quitting Twitter
Do you hear that sound? It's the weeping of millions of teens who will now be deprived of the kernels of wisdom flowing forth in 140 bit parts from teen sensation Miley Cyrus.
The "Hannah Montana" star made a catchy-ish rap video posted on YouTube as her swan song from the popular social media site, ultimately claiming her need for privacy and partially blaming her busy schedule for her departure. In her rap, Miley pontificates:
"No it wasn't because my friend told me too, y'all know very well what you say, I don't do. And the reasons are simple, I started tweeting about pimples, I stopped living for moments, and started living for people."
I am guessing it might have something to do with boyfriend and frenemy drama as well, something Miley is no stranger to.
Stay calm tweeny twitterers, teens are notoriously fickle, especially celebrity teens who are addicted to their own fame and need for constant adoration and attention. Chances are, she'll be back, bad grammar, poor spelling and all.
Miley, 16, is at the crossroads in many ways, both as an artist and a young woman. To quote fellow tabloid darling Britney Spears, Miley's not quite a girl, not yet a woman. Oh, but she's trying, a little too hard I'd say.
Since young Miley's star rose to meteoric heights playing fictional character "Hannah Montana" on the hit Disney show of the same name, we watched her blossom from sweet southern girl to rebellious teen, all under the watchful eye of her on-screen and real-life dad, former country star, Billy Ray Cyrus (of "Achy Breaky Heart" fame.)
Miley was a perfect example of the twittering celebrity, breaking down her daily minutia into tasty bits ranging from her latest heartbreak (who can keep up) to drama relating to on-again, off-again friends like fellow Disney star Selena Gomez or Demi Lovato.
