Kate Gosselin Wins the First Battle for the Missing $180,000
The circus side show that is Jon and Kate Gosselin is now entering the courtroom. A few weeks back Kate, mother of eight, including a set of sextuplets, has won a court battle against her estranged ex-husband and Ed Hardy billboard, Jon Gosselin for allegedly swiping $180,000 of the more than $235,000 from their joint checking account.
According to a Pennsylvania judge, Jon has until Oct. 26th to turn over the missing money or he will be held in contempt of court. Kate Gosselin has this to say about the court's decision:
"As difficult as this has been for me, I am pleased that the Court has ruled fairly on behalf of myself and my children. Now that this matter has been ruled on, I look forward to returning to private arbitration, as we have agreed to do, to resolve any remaining issues."
Jon has claimed he doesn't have the money, and is accusing Kate of hiding money while crying poor, when in fact it's Jon who needs an influx of cash. While no one should care much what either of these two emotionally stunted parental units do, we can hardly avoid the train wreck as Jon and Kate are now part of the American celebrity lexicon.
