Jude Law Finally Meets His Daughter, 5-Month Old Sophia
Jude Law's daughter Sophia was born in September 2009. Sophia is the beautiful product of an affair Jude had with model Samantha Burke.
The affair took place in 2008 when he was filming Sherlock Holmes. It would seem as if Jude was hoping the whole problem would simply disappear. When he appeared on the David Letterman Show in October he still was only admitting to having 3 children. All three from his previous marriage to Sadie Frost. The 37-year old actor met 5-month old Sophia in Miami for the first time last week amidst lawyers. The meeting was reportedly to hammer out visitation and support.
My heart goes out to baby Sophia in all of this mess. She is sure to google this one day and find out her father hadn't even bothered to meet her until she was five-months old, and then only with lawyers present. I hope Jude takes a more active role in her life from here on in. That will prove he is man, and a father, and not just another sperm donor feckless actor not taking responsibility for what his sperm produces.
