Entourage Recap: Damage Control

This week’s episode of Entourage found a lot of our boys in compromising situations that forced them to do some damage control. Drama, Eric, Ari, and Vince all scrambled to pull themselves out of trouble this week with varying degrees of success.
Vince’s trouble surrounded a woman (of course) and a Vanity Fair interview. The woman interviewing him is an attractive journalist named Sophia who is played by Alice Eve. Sophia is exactly the type of woman that always steals our boys’ hearts: She’s strong, independent and passionate. Amazing that despite the constant stream of easy women, all our guys are really looking forward is a strong confident woman.
In any event, the interview goes bad because Vince seems to be constantly hitting on her. Sophia stops the story short, but Vince eventually convinces her to come to his hotel for a second chance. The second interview goes much better, but Sophia rebuffs Vince’s advances. Naturally, Vince becomes smitten by her. The entire story line does nothing but set up Alice Eve’s character for bigger things and makes you wonder why Vince even pays a publicist. It is nice to see Alice Eve getting some run on a TV show. It seems like the right medium for her.
Eric finds himself in trouble with another woman: ex-fiancée Sloane’s ex-stepmother. She comes into the office looking for representation because she claims she wants to restart her career. It’s obvious from the very first meeting that her goal is to sleep with Eric. After a drunken lunch date, she gets her wish. Unfortunately for Eric, Sloane calls during the pillow talk (of course). Eric blows her off because they aren’t together anymore. Sloane takes offense (why not) and hangs up on Eric. Whatever.
Turtle tries to push Vince to hype his new restaurant venture and places Alice Eve’s face on a large set of breasts using his iPad. Glad he’s here.
Drama’s trouble surrounds his show. His new co-star isn’t working out, and he sets out to get Andrew Dice Clay to return to the show. Drama even went as far as to offer to give some of his salary to Dice to make their salaries even. Dice still says he is holding out because he needs the money to pay for his son’s college.
