Too often people drink alcohol and get behind the wheel to drive. And, unfortunately, those decisions often result in tragedies. In a case of a Boston man, however, those decisions turned into a business opportunity.

Raymer McGuire, and his partner, Joe Stokes, run Boston's Designated Driver. When the idea was created, McGuire was not old enough to legally drink, but saw it as both a business opportunity and a way to make the roads safer.

"If you go out and get drunk, you call us," McGuire told WCVB-TV, Boston's ABC affiliate. "We send two guys out to you. One of them is driving our car, and one of them will drive your car, so you don't have to risk a DUI, and you don't have to get your car the next morning," McGuire said.

The service, which also serves minors, employs drivers that require background checks. The service costs $5 less than a round trip by cab. To date, McGuire told WCVB, the company is doing well and is almost breaking even financially.

One of the perks, other than not being arrested or killing someone or yourself, is that Boston's Designated Driver will also bring along a second employee if the customer needs their car driven home.
