How to Choose a Career or Profession
I feel that career or profession selection is a very crucial decision in a person's life and if choice is wrong one may end up his whole life doing what he does not like.
He may even have to reinvest several years to enter into a new profession, so here I would like to mention some rules that may be helpful to guys who are confused about the career choices:
1. Observe your hobbies, passions carefully.
2. Determine if you have necessary skills and attitude to turn your hobby or passion into your profession.
3. Most of us love music but do not have skills to create tunes or compose songs so it would be difficult for all music lovers to take up music as profession.
4. All of us like eating variety of food but how many of us can turn into expert chefs?
5. Definitely it is a good choice to go for some training to turn a hobby into profession.
6. Keep in mind that it will be helpful only if you possess a matching attitude because a course or training will teach you skills or make aware you of technicalities but it will not give you required attitude.
7. The above search will not be an easy task, as in beginning of this search you will find that most things which you consider as hobbies & passions (at least you think so) do not qualify on above tests.
8.Do not leave your search & try to settle for any profession you can make money from , because a profession is not just for making money (of course it is one of the objective) but it is an activity you are going to spend significant period of your life.
9. If you enjoy your profession not only you enjoy your work but also you will find more success in your career making your quality of life much better.
